Library People of Colorado is pleased to host our Advocacy in Action Center. Libraries need supporters from the community, and these numerous websites will help you be involved. Contact either your local library or Library People (or both!) to move from talk to action.

Advocacy Initiative: Blog and information links about overall
advocacy and ALSO the fall election issues. Also known as the "big, hairy,
audacious goal" from Good to Great by Jim Collins. Stay up to the minute.
- I Love Libraries:
A national information and advocacy site presented by the American Library
Association. National legislation updates, tools, commemorations.

Libraries: How they Stack Up (PDF): Provides a snapshot of the
economic impact of libraries. The report contains some interesting
comparisons of library economics and activities to other sectors,
professions and destinations in the worldwide economy. (2003, from OCLC, a
